Time for a Christmas Novella!

Hello, friends,

Joyful greetings and heartfelt thanks for reading this month’s news! I hope your September has been a good one. For me, it was rife with computer program glitches, causing my brain to drown in uncharted territory. Nothing feels safe right now and this anxiety isn’t conducive to writing.

Progress report: The last quarter of Book Two is very nearly finished. Alas, beginning is the easiest part, and finishing is the hardest part.

The Christmas Novella I wrote in the spring, then put aside is now almost rewritten. It should be released in late October. Here’s a sneak peek:

Let the Christmas Fun Begin Greta’s neighbor has a crush on her, but what will he do when he finds out how strong-willed and independent she is? Jack, a widower and sausage vendor, finds himself falling in love again. Maria helps 14-year-old Felix to fit in with the adults, but he still can’t learn the secret journeyman’s handshake. The baker shocks everyone by showing passion for his wife. Nicklaus’s friend is keenly interested in Maria’s shy housemate.

Observe German customs at the ChristKindlMarkt. Gather at Greta’s to celebrate friendship and goodwill. Recipes for the Typisch Deutsches Essen will appear in the back of the book—a bonus you won’t find in other holiday books. Your holidays will shine when you challenge yourself to prepare customary German food. My first novella will be offered at a discount to show my appreciation for you, my friends, and my readers. Look for Let the Christmas Fun Begin next month!

My thoughts are with those whose lives have been devastated by Hurricane Helene and hope that Americans generously give their finances to help them. With about a month till Election Day, I hope we may each take an honest inventory of our values, supporting policies that bring peace and prosperity to our nation.

Affectionately,
XXOO
