Happy Holidays “Etch of a Promise” Style

Etch of a Promise style Christmas newsletter image

Winter is a magical time in Cologne.

Maria and Nicklaus bundle up and brave the whitened landscape together. Fires crackle and warm the home where Maria lives with her three friends.

The park is covered in a blanket of snow, but the birds still clamor around their feet for crumbs, while the pesky ducks are more vocal about their noisy begging.

Wouldn’t you love to see the snow-capped spires of the historic cathedrals? Here the sounds of the bells and watch Nicklaus survey the carvings. Vendors near the park, selling scarves and sausages, proclaim their goods, while the scent of cinnamon wafts lazily from the nearby bakery. The blizzard blows in against the evergreens, not caring if humans have come inside for warmth and safety. @@@
